Fundraising is something special difficult to do in today's world of budget cuts and restrictions, and there is a growing need to find funds for both organizations around us. Little organization that relies on fundraising for much of its funding is a losing battle for sympathy and money, the general public.
Therefore Fundraising should be addressed professionally, even if you do fund-raising professionals. Whether you are a fundraiser for a full-time nonprofit organization or someone who has been hired to run a fundraiser for local Scout small group, you must be aware the importance of an adequate funding plan.
Youve heard the old adage, Im sure, if plan planning to fail. This is true of fundraising as well. Failing to establish and implement a fundraising own is one of the main things you can do to increase the likelihood of your fundraising is a failure.
What a fundraising plan and what does it do? Basically, it is a map of the entire operation of collecting funds from beginning to end. Whatever your goal is fundraising. What do you want to achieve. How? With what help? With what product or service or call? Who is your target group, ie people who are the target of your campaign?
What Do you have plans in case of change of plans? What happens if it rains on your wedding day? What happens if a key person (perhaps you) is ill on the day? What happens if you have more product? Have other problems?
